Dobby Terms & Conditions.

Part 1: Terms & Conditions for Customers
Introduction

By booking a service through the Dobby platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Dobby Connect Ltd ("Dobby") is a platform that connects you with trusted, independent service providers ("Helpers") offering non-medical home support services, especially for seniors. Dobby does not provide services directly.

Booking and Payment
  • All bookings must be made through the Dobby website or app.

  • Payment is securely processed online at the time of booking.

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your service needs.

Cancellation Policy
  • You may cancel bookings up to 24 hours before the scheduled service time at no charge.

  • Cancellations made within 6-24 hours will incur a 50% fee.

  • Cancellations made within <6 hours will incur a 100% fee.

  • No-shows or cancellations after the service start time will be charged 100% of the booking fee.

  • Full refunds or rebooking options are provided if the Helper cancels.

Service Quality
  • While Dobby verifies and vets all Helpers, each operates independently.

  • If you are dissatisfied with a service, notify Dobby within 24 hours of service completion to request a resolution.

Liability and Insurance
  • Dobby is a platform that facilitates connections between Customers and independent Helpers.

  • Dobby does not provide insurance coverage for Customers or Helpers.

  • Helpers are independent contractors and are responsible for maintaining their own public liability insurance.

  • Dobby disclaims all liability for any injury, property damage, financial loss, or other claims resulting from services provided by Helpers.

  • Customers are encouraged to ensure their home insurance is current.

Customer Conduct
  • You agree to treat all Helpers respectfully and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Abuse, harassment, or unsafe conditions may result in account suspension or termination.

General Provisions
  • Dobby may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be communicated through the platform.

  • Irish law governs these Terms & Conditions.

  • By using Dobby, you agree to these Terms in full.

Part 2: Terms & Conditions for Helpers
Introduction

By joining the Dobby platform as a Helper, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Helpers operate as independent service providers and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Dobby.

Registration, Vetting and Joining
  • You must provide truthful information and undergo background checks and/or training as requested by Dobby.

  • You must notify Dobby if your legal right to work or background status changes.

  • Registration includes background checks, reference verification, and onboarding training.

  • A non-refundable joining fee of €50 is required upon acceptance onto the Dobby platform. This covers:

  • • Vetting and background verification

  • • Reference checks

  • • Onboarding and training.

  • Payment of the joining fee does not guarantee any minimum number of bookings.

Service Delivery
  • You agree to deliver services professionally, courteously, and reliably.

  • Notify Dobby immediately if you cannot complete a booking.

  • Repeated cancellations, poor service quality, or customer complaints may result in account suspension or removal.

Payments and Service Pricing
  • Helpers are responsible for setting their own hourly service rate on the Dobby platform.

  • Dobby applies a platform service fee (a percentage commission) to each completed booking.

  • The platform fee covers use of the Dobby platform, marketing, and administrative support.

  • After the platform fee is deducted, remaining earnings are transferred to your registered bank account within 7 business days of service completion.

  • Helpers are responsible for all taxes, PRSI, and compliance with self-employment regulations.

Liability and Insurance
  • Dobby does not provide insurance coverage for Helpers.

  • Each Helper is solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid and sufficient public liability insurance.

  • Dobby disclaims any liability for injury, theft, damage, or claims arising from your services.

  • Helpers must take reasonable care while working in customers' homes.

Conduct Standards
  • Helpers must maintain a high standard of professionalism, respect, and safety.

  • Any misconduct, unsafe practices, or breach of trust may result in immediate termination.

General Provisions
  • Dobby may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

  • Irish law governs these Terms.

  • By registering and paying the joining fee, you accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
